Baseball Recap: NSU University Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

NSU University put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the True North Classical Academy Titans 11-5. That's two games straight that the Sharks have won by exactly six runs.

Logan Hallaran looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, NSU University got a massive performance out of Rocco Rovetto, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Rovetto has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Landon Combs, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

NSU University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

NSU University's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for True North Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NSU University will host Gulliver Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. NSU University is facing Gulliver Prep at the right time seeing as Gulliver Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for True North Classical Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against JC Bermudez Doral at 3:30 p.m. JC Bermudez Doral will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something True North Classical Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
