Ringgold won the last time they faced Oakwood Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ringgold took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15.

Alayna Yarger paced Ringgold's offense, picking up seven kills. Yarger got some help from Natalie Crane and her nine assists. Yarger and Crane didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Ringgold's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Oakwood Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ringgold and Oakwood Christian will both be playing Ridgeland the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
