Kiel has gone 8-1 against Oostburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Raiders will host the Flying Dutchmen at 4:30 p.m. Kiel will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
While Kiel's win against Valders wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Vikings 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since May 22, 2024.

Aaron Stephany and Hunter Pitzen made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stephany pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, Pitzen pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Stephany went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Pitzen went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Stephany has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Colton Schaefer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Oostburg was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Cedar Grove-Belgium, falling 14-2. The Flying Dutchmen have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Kiel's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Oostburg, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kiel has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Oostburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Kiel's way against Oostburg when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Kiel made off with a 10-1 win. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Flying Dutchmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
