Westfield has gone a perfect 9-0 against Minnechaug Regional recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bombers will take on the Falcons at 6:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westfield has three straight wins, Minnechaug Regional has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Thursday, Westfield got the win against Frontier Regional by a conclusive 3-0.
Westfield's got stronger as the match went on, holding Frontier Regional to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-11.

Westfield relied on the efforts of Arlen Messier, who had six digs and five aces, and Nolan Rodgers, who had ten digs. Rodgers has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times he's played.
They weren't the only good server: Westfield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Minnechaug Regional took on Central on Thursday. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles.
The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13, 20-25, 25-20.
Minnechaug Regional's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Westfield, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Westfield beat Minnechaug Regional 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
