The Falls Lake Firebirds will challenge the Wakefield Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Falls Lake, who comes in off a win.

Jacob Watson and Nick Denny made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Watson struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Denny pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the first time Watson hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024. At bat, Watson got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI, while Denny scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Meanwhile, Wakefield lost 10-1 to Leesville Road on Wednesday.
