The Greene Central Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greene Central is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 47-8, which was the final score in Greene Central's tilt against Farmville Central two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Wallace-Rose Hill entered their tilt with James Kenan with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Wallace-Rose Hill put the hurt on James Kenan with a sharp 36-15 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Wallace-Rose Hill, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Corbin Kerr was on fire: he rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Kerr hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games. Jamarae Lamb and his 87 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Wallace-Rose Hill's win.
Farmville Central's win bumped their season record to 8-2 while Greene Central's defeat dropped theirs to 4-6.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground as these two are both standouts in the run game. Greene Central has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 182.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Wallace-Rose Hill struggles in that department as they've been even better at 398.8 per game. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
