Softball Recap: Browne Wins Going Away Against Camelback

Browne got themselves on the board against Camelback on Tuesday, but Camelback never followed suit. They blew past the Spartans 12-0. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Browne got a big performance out of Dania Duran, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Duran has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Ayala, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Browne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .655 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Browne's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Camelback, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Browne will have a chance to go back-to-back against Camelback: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
