St. Francis and Rancho San Juan are an even 4-4 against one another  since September of 2021, but  not for long. The Sharks will head out to  challenge the Trailblazers  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the  contest red-hot, with St. Francis sitting on  eight straight  wins and Rancho San Juan on three.
On Tuesday,  it was close, but  St. Francis sidestepped Pacific Collegiate for  a  3-2 victory.
 St. Francis took Pacific Collegiate into a fifth set  where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-16, 19-25, 25-19,  15-13.
Meanwhile, Rancho San Juan earned  a  3-1 win over North Salinas  on Tuesday.
 Rancho San Juan was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 23-25,  25-8.
St. Francis better keep an eye on  Delylah Magdaleno. She was instrumental in Rancho San Juan's win,  getting seven  aces and three  digs. What's more,  Magdaleno racked up 16  assists, the most she's  had  over her last eight  matchups.
 Rancho San Juan  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 22  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least nine  aces in three consecutive  matches.
 St. Francis' record now sits at 14-3. As for Rancho San Juan, their record is now 18-6.
 St. Francis was able to grind out a solid  victory over Rancho San Juan in their previous matchup  back in September, winning  3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
