The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chenango Valley in their matchups with Chenango Forks: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for Stephen Samsel, who scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and two steals for Chenango Forks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Samsel has scored at least a third of Chenango Forks' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Raab, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Chenango Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Chenango Forks, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Chenango Valley will head out on the road to face off against Windsor Central at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chenango Forks, they will be playing at home against Greene at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
