Basketball Game Preview: Boulder City Eagles vs. The Meadows School Mustangs

Boulder City and The Meadows School are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Boulder City Eagles will challenge The Meadows School Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Boulder City comes in on ten and The Meadows School on six.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Boulder City against Doral Academy Red Rock as the squad secured an 80-52 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Sean Pendleton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 14 en route to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Wright, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Boulder City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, The Meadows School didn't have too much trouble with Sports Leadership & Management on Wednesday as they won 72-56.

Boulder City has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for The Meadows School, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Boulder City beat The Meadows School 53-46 in their previous matchup on January 6th. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was The Meadows School's Uzo Nwapa, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Boulder City still be able to contain Nwapa? There's only one way to find out.
