The Del Oro Sun will head out on the road to challenge the South Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Oro is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Thursday, Del Oro earned a 63-50 victory over the Lions.
Del Oro can attribute much of their success to Jorge Castillo, who scored 14 points, and Josue Lopez-Perez, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Keenan Starling, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, South can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They breezed by East Bakersfield at home to the tune of 64-31. The victory was nothing new for South as they're now sitting on three straight.
Del Oro's victory bumped their record up to 6-21. As for South, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Del Oro took a serious blow against the Spartans in their previous meeting back in January, falling 98-32. Can Del Oro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
