Given St. John's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Raiders are ranked 462nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. John's was led to victory by Malachi Booker and Sebastian Williams-adams. Booker scored 13 points along with three steals, while Williams-adams dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colin Callahan, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds.
St. John's is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Houston HomeSchool, they dropped their record down to 13-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
St. John's will be playing at home against the Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Houston HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
