After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northshore, the Salmen Spartans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Hahnville by a score of 51-42. For Salmen, this counts as revenge for the 54-39 defeat Hahnville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Salmen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendal Thomas, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. Treasure Mccall was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Salmen's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hahnville, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salmen will challenge Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hahnville, they will head out on the road to face off against A.J. Ellender at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. A.J. Ellender will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Hahnville is ranked 59th).
