Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 52-44 to the Palmer Bulldogs. One positive for Rice, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Kenli Dobie had an outrageously good game for Palmer as she dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Dobie a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Yates, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.
Rice's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Palmer, their victory bumped their record up to 10-22.
Rice will challenge Keene at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
