The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for King & Queen Central in their matchups with Westmoreland: they've now lost five in a row.
King & Queen Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaymaria King, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Janiya Brown, who scored 8 points.
King & Queen Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Westmoreland, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
King & Queen Central will head out on the road to face off against Rappahannock at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westmoreland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Courtland at 7:00 p.m.
