The Rutherford Bulldogs got the win against the Saddle Brook Falcons on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Chris Gioia was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (four). Andrew Erickson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Rutherford is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Saddle Brook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rutherford will square off against Westwood at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saddle Brook, they will take on Leonia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
