Herscher barely beat Reed-Custer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Comets 11-1 on Monday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.

Alec Nicholos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, Payten Young was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaige Brown, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Herscher, bringing their record up to 15-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Reed-Custer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Herscher will have a chance to go back-to-back against Reed-Custer: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
