The Auburndale Eagles will face off against the Chequamegon Screaming Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Auburndale will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Auburndale's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Assumption. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Morgan Griesbach was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chequamegon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Phillips on Thursday, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Screaming Eagles have posted since May 10, 2025.
Chequamegon's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Auburndale, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Everything went Auburndale's way against Chequamegon in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Auburndale made off with a 17-4 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Screaming Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
