Standley Lake hasn't had much luck against Green Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gators will take on the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Standley Lake will be strutting in after a win while Green Mountain will be coming in after a defeat.
Standley Lake lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Wheat Ridge, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's match. The Gators blew past the Farmers 22-1 on Saturday. That 21 run margin sets a new team best for the Gators this season.
Titus Schrecengost made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Casias, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Austin Cooper also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Standley Lake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain didn't have quite enough to beat Dakota Ridge on Saturday and fell 5-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Green Mountain saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Simon Lunsford, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Hudson Burke, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Standley Lake's record now sits at 7-8. As for Green Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-1.
Standley Lake came up short against Green Mountain in their previous meeting on April 7th, falling 3-0. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
