Perkins's Dale Irby recorded the longest rushing play in Sandusky Bay this season in his game against Margaretta last week. Irby's team bested the Polar Bears as he sprinted for 79 yards on the play and finished with 252 in all.
Perkins extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Margaretta, 56-13. The win marks eighth in a row for the Jason Ziegler's team.
The Pirates' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. David Doster threw for 32 yards and Devin Dubbert had 32 yards receiving. On the ground Irby contributed 252 yards.
Irby was a force in the backfield as Perkins bested Andrew Zuk's team.
Irby was a passing and rushing force as the Pirates topped the Polar Bears.
Dubbert was the best receiver in the league this week as Perkins bested Margaretta. Dubbert racked up 1 reception for 32 yards.
Perkins' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Pirates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Doster has thrown for 727 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Irby has 11 catches for 266 yards.
At the moment, the Pirates are in first, while Oak Harbor is in fourth.
The Polar Bears made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,191 from 9,425. The improvement was the result of a 56-13 victory over Margaretta last week.
