You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Green Mountain's strategy against Wheat Ridge on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Green Mountain Rams blew the Wheat Ridge Farmers out of the water with a 79-50 final score. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Simon Lunsford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-10 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jake Swanson, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points and six boards.

Wheat Ridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaiah Rainalter, who posted 18 points, and Da'Mon Bobbs, who earned ten points. Jyles Ballenger was another key player, putting up six points.

Green Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points over those games. Wheat Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Green Mountain and Wheat Ridge are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Green Mountain will square off against Frederick on February 28th. One thing working in Green Mountain's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Wheat Ridge, they will face off against Thornton on Tuesday. Thornton will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Wheat Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
