Olive Branch extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 11-6. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Conquistadors have suffered since March 31, 2025.

Sam Resch made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. J.R. Jamison was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
As for Tupelo Christian Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.8 runs.
On Tupelo Christian Prep's side, they gave Reeves Kenney the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Kenney a new career-high. JD Wamble relieved him and did a solid job, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Rivers Johnson was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Bryce Godown, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Olive Branch wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-0 defeat against Grenada on the 24th. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-0 victory against West Lowndes on the 24th.
