The Wauconda Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 50.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against Grayslake North as Wauconda made off with a 32-7 victory. The result was nothing new for Wauconda, who have now won four matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Wauconda can attribute much of their success to Connor Vanselow, who rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns. Vanselow is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Logan Olsen was another key contributor, rushing for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Wauconda's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Grayslake North, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Wauconda will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Grant Community at 5:00 p.m. Grant Community is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Grayslake North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
