The Bronaugh Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 64-53 to Kingsville. Bronaugh was down 60-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Bronaugh's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tucker Duncan, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Strauss Banes who scored 17 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Duncan hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Colter Banes, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Bronaugh's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Kingsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bronaugh will face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chilhowee is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Wildcats a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Kingsville, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
