There's no place like home for Friendship Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past the Springfield Yellow Jackets 11-1 on Saturday. Considering the Commanders have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Perez Parker and Mason Hallum did most of the damage at the plate: Parker went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hallum got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Hallum is becoming a predictor of Friendship Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-12-1 when he doesn't).

Friendship Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted an OBP of .381.

The win got Friendship Christian back to even at 12-12-1. As for Springfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Friendship Christian will square off against White House-Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Commanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Springfield, they will head out to take on Northeast at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
