Newberry won the last time they faced Horse Creek Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Stallions with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Newberry and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Horse Creek Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Newberry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against White Knoll on the 12th. As for Horse Creek Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dutch Fork at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
