There's no place like home for the Berrien Rebels, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They secured a 51-46 W over Bacon County on Saturday. The win was just what Berrien needed coming off of a 57-24 defeat in their prior game.
Bacon County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marnay'jah Reynolds, who scored 18 points. Reynolds scored a full 39.1% of Bacon County's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Chelsea Madison was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
The win got Berrien back to even at 3-3. As for Bacon County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Berrien will be playing in front of their home fans against Atkinson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bacon County, they will head out on the road to face off against Pierce County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
