Basketball Recap: Kobe Sims Key Part of a Team Effort in Predators Win

Fox Creek won the last time they faced Westminster Schools of Augusta and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fox Creek Predators blew past the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats 62-42. The Predators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Fox Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Sims, who went 10 for 23 en route to 22 points and three steals. Sims' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Justin Vining was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Fox Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Fox Creek's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Fox Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-54 victory against Newberry on the 17th. Westminster Schools of Augusta has also already played their next match, a 44-41 win against Augusta Prep Day on the 16th.
