Mater Academy Charter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Faith Lutheran Crusaders as they made off with a 16-8 victory. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Adrian Pena looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mater Academy Charter is 7-0-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Eiker Noguera was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Mater Academy Charter is undefeated when Noguera posts two or more runs, but 4-7-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bryan Fernandez, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Mater Academy Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Mater Academy Charter's record is now 12-7-1. As for Faith Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
