In what's become a running theme this season, the Eastern Ramblers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bell 77-37 at home. While fans of Eastern might be used to big wins, the 40-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Eastern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rashid Faruq out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Isyah Joyner, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Eastern now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bell, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Clerks at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in District of Columbia (Cardozo is ranked seventh, while the Ramblers are ranked 17th). As for Bell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the EAGLES at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
