The Canyon Comanches and the Los Alamitos Griffins squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Canyon Comanches had to settle for second. They were dealt a 73-46 defeat at the hands of the Griffins. Canyon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Los Alamitos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2017.
Despite the loss, Canyon still got an impressive performance from Noah Kim, who scored 15 points.
Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Los Alamitos, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-5.
Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Alamitos, they will square off against Windward at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Alamitos knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 29 matches -- so hopefully Windward likes a good challenge.
