The Huss Huskies had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against South Point by a score of 76-64 on Friday. Huss' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Huss' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zamarius 'Z-Man' Gladden, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gladden has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Trimell Dunlap, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Huss' win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for South Point, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.
Huss won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Butler at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Butler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Huss in North Carolina (Butler is ranked 110th, while Huss is ranked 309th). As for South Point, they will be playing at home against Crest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Crest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
