A Season-Best Performance from Ta'john Royster Leads East over Beechcroft
On Friday, East got the W thanks in part to Ta'John Royster playing the best football he has all season. Royster rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory was the sixth in a row for East, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Royster and East will square off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

East Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Darion Matlock
Darion Matlock was instrumental in extending East's winning streak to six on Friday. Matlock rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 69 yards.
For the season, Matlock has run in those 2 touchdowns while averaging 35.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Davell Brock Goes Supernova in Linden-Mckinley Win
Linden-McKinley picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Davell Brock. Nobody could stop Brock as he rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Linden-McKinley's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3. Brock and Linden-McKinley will venture away from home to take on Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Harrison Made His Presence Known in Northland's 58-6 Victory
Akeilles Harrison was a major factor in Northland's victory over Mifflin on Friday. Mifflin had no answer to Harrison as he threw for 165 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards.
Northland pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Harrison will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Whetstone on Friday.

Aaron Britford and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
East picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Aaron Britford. Britford turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
