On Saturday, Butler ended up a good deal behind Westside and lost  48-33. While losing is never fun, Butler can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 73rd in Georgia, while Westside is ranked 17th in South Carolina).
 Butler's loss  came despite strong showings from  Brayla Harris and  Kam Gresham.  Harris  scored 19 points, while  Gresham  scored two points along with nine  rebounds and two  steals. That's the first time this season that  Gresham  pulled down eight or more   rebounds.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Butler and  nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Westside, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
 Butler will head out on the road to  challenge  Thomson at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Thomson's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last five contests. As for Westside, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Berea at 6:00  p.m. Berea is coming into the  game on a four-game losing streak.
