Troy extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-1. They walked away with a 21-13 victory over the Segerstrom Jaguars. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ethan Mundt had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 138 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Troy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 189 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Another reason for the win was Troy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Roy Bouakar, Michael Fenton, and Adam Knowles, who each picked up one sack apiece.

As for Segerstrom, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. The match marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Segerstrom still got an impressive performance from Ayden Morales, who rushed for 86 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Troy and Segerstrom will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Warriors see the field they'll take on Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Segerstrom, their break will end when they face St. Margaret's at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
