The Meadowbrook Colts will take on the West Holmes Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meadowbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Meadowbrook will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Maysville on Thursday. The Colts walked away with a 13-8 win over the Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.
Natalee Norman made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Meadowbrook let Sommer Ginn and Jordyn Vargeson run wild. Ginn went 5-for-6 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Vargeson went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those five hits gave Ginn a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Wiggins, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Meadowbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .592. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maysville only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, West Holmes fell victim to Dalton and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-0.
West Holmes has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Meadowbrook, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
West Holmes' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Meadowbrook has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. It's a different story for West Holmes, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Meadowbrook's sizable advantage in that area, the Knights will need to find a way to close that gap.
