Conemaugh Valley is 10-0 against Ferndale since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jeremy Dietz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 14 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryton Yackulich, who scored 12 points.
Conemaugh Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Ferndale scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Johnstown Christian 67-33 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ferndale.
Conemaugh Valley's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Ferndale, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Everything came up roses for Conemaugh Valley against Ferndale when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 76-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Conemaugh Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
