A Season-Best Performance from Robert Mcdaniel Leads Hughson over Sonora
Hughson was led to victory by Robert Mcdaniel, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcdaniel wasn't messing around, throwing for 427 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per attempt. The contest was his third straight with three or more passing touchdowns dating back to last season.
The victory for Hughson keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Mcdaniel and Hughson will head out on the road to face off against Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sonora's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1. Sutton will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Ripon on Friday.

Merek Ellerd Goes Supernova in Hilmar Win
Hilmar found a leader in Merek Ellerd as the squad took down Orestimba on Friday. Ellerd was unstoppable, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes.
Hilmar now has a winning record of 4-3. Ellerd and Hilmar will face off against Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
