The Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool Jaguars had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a serious blow against Mingo Valley Christian on Tuesday, falling 83-50. Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-23.
Mingo Valley Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Clary led the charge by scoring 23 points along with five rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Isaiah McLemore, who scored 21 points.
Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tulsa NOAH HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crossover Prep on February 1, 2024. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Regent Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
