It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Boulder City Eagles had no problem doing just that on Monday. They really took it to the Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-45 victory at home. Boulder City has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.
Boulder City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Roman Rose out in front who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Rose continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Wright, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Boulder City is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Virgin Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.
Boulder City will square off against Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Boulder City sitting on three straight wins and Mater Academy East Las Vegas on five. Virgin Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
