After flying high against the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders last Wednesday, the Reagan Rattlers came back down to earth. Reagan took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brandeis on Saturday. Reagan has struggled against Brandeis recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Reagan still got an impressive performance from Sahara Green, who scored ten points along with four steals. Green has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Obringer, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Rian Forestier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brandeis, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Forestier hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 26 straight games. Abigail Burdette was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Reagan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season. As for Brandeis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-8.
Reagan will head out on the road to square off against Clark at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clark has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 728 points over their last 11 matchups. As for Brandeis, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Marshall at 6:00 p.m. Marshall is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
