Basketball Recap: First Coast Christian Takes a Loss

First Coast Christian lost against Harvest Community back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The First Coast Christian Knights took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harvest Community Warriors. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, First Coast Christian still got an impressive performance from David Ellis Jr., who went 7 of 16 en route to 18 points and three steals. Ellis Jr. is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Bradshaw, who posted five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

It was another big night for Adam Lawson, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards for Harvest Community. Khason Krey was another key player, putting up three points and six rebounds.

First Coast Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Harvest Community, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

First Coast Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 76-36 win against Hope Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Harvest Community, they will venture away from home to square off against Atlantic Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Harvest Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
