Even though the Redmond Panthers scored an imposing 61 points on Sunday, the North Eugene Highlanders still came out on top. North Eugene took their game against Redmond 73-61. For North Eugene, this counts as revenge for the 53-48 loss Redmond walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.
Jonas Spencer was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Caiden Gould was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 3 steals.
North Eugene now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Redmond, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-10 record last season and are now at 1-2.
North Eugene will head out on the road to face off against Roseburg at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redmond, they will be playing at home against Henley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Henley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
