The Therrell Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Drew Charter. Therrell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Drew Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Torey Baisden, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Morion Mcwhorter, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Therrell has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Drew Charter, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-9.
Therrell will be playing in front of their home fans against South Atlanta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Atlanta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Therrell in Georgia (South Atlanta is ranked 153rd, while Therrell is ranked 419th). Drew Charter will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mount Paran Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
