Cj Kelly was his usual excellent self, rushing for 250 yards and three scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Those 250 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Kelly was just one part of a punishing run game: Rappahannock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northumberland only rushed for 86.
Meanwhile, Essex put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Westmoreland, posting a 68-14 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their two-point performance the contest before.
Essex's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Rappahannock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
