The Classical Saints put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Remington by a score of 52-41. Given Classical's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Remington is ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sam Wilkey was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Classical's points. Charlie Graham was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 3 steals.
Classical's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Remington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2-1.
Classical is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Fairfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Fairfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Remington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Halstead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
