Northeast is a perfect 10-0 against Annapolis since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will challenge the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. Northeast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Northeast is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Archbishop Spalding just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 9-3 to the Cavaliers.
Presley McGinty put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Madison Burris made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
Meanwhile, Annapolis fell victim to North County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 17-0.
Annapolis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Champlin, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Northeast's record is now 11-2. As for Annapolis, their record now sits at 2-9.
Annapolis' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northeast hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. It's a different story for Annapolis, though, as they've only averaged .214. Will they be able to contain Northeast's hitters?
Northeast got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Annapolis by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
