The Mohonasen Warriors lost against the Amsterdam Rams back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mohonasen took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Amsterdam.
Amsterdam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aundray Fowler led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Rocco Natale was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Amsterdam's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Chris Tilley got a bit more time on the court (ten vs. his season average of 2.85). Tilley made the most of the opportunity, scoring six points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Mohonasen's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Amsterdam, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Mohonasen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-45 victory vs. Cobleskill-Richmondville on the 9th. Amsterdam will head out on the road to challenge Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Albany has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 806 points over their last 12 matches.
