Badger will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Bristol, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Braves blew past the Panthers 13-2 on Wednesday. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Samantha Bradbury made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Bradbury was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyleigh Hall, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Skylar Demarco was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Badger kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Brookfield finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Garfield by a score of 1-0. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Brookfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elaina Boyce, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Badger's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Brookfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Brookfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Badger has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. It's a different story for Brookfield, though, as they've only averaged .320. Will they be able to contain Badger's hitters?
