The Windham Whippets waltzed into their matchup Monday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Griswold 62-19 at home. Windham might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 26 points or more this season.
Windham was led to victory by Asihja Harris and Aniya Jenkins. Harris dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Jenkins scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Harris set a new season high mark in steals with six. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Lebiszczak, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Windham's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Griswold, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Windham will be playing in front of their home fans against Tourtellotte at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Griswold, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Bernard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
